Shipping Policy
Effective date: August 27, 2026
Where we ship
Thrift Hangar currently offers online shipping to the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. We do not currently offer checkout shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international addresses.
Processing time
Orders are normally packed and handed to the carrier within 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed. Weekends, holidays, unusually high order volume, payment review, or an address problem may add time. You will receive a shipment notification when tracking is available.
Shipping charges and carriers
Standard Shipping charges are calculated at checkout from the delivery zone and total package weight using the store’s configured rate bands. Online rate bands currently cover shipments up to 30 pounds. If no shipping method appears, or an item or combined order exceeds 30 pounds, contact us before purchase so we can confirm whether shipping is available and provide next steps.
We purchase labels through Pirate Ship and may use USPS, UPS, or another suitable carrier service. The checkout shipping charge may not exactly equal the postage printed on the label because it can also reflect packaging and the store’s simplified zone-based rate structure. You will never be charged more than the shipping amount accepted at checkout unless you request an address or service change after ordering.
Delivery estimates
Carrier transit dates are estimates, not guarantees. Weather, holidays, carrier disruptions, and events outside our control can delay delivery. Thrift Hangar is not responsible for a carrier delay after timely handoff, but we will help with available tracking or claim information.
Address accuracy
Please check your name, street address, unit number, city, state, and ZIP code before paying. Contact us immediately if an address is wrong. We cannot guarantee a change after a label is created or the package is handed to the carrier. Additional postage caused by an incorrect or incomplete address may be deducted from a refund or charged before reshipment when permitted by law.
Tracking and delivery problems
Use the carrier tracking link in your shipment email. If tracking shows delivered but you cannot find the package, first check the delivery area, household members, neighbors, building staff, and the carrier. If tracking has not moved for several business days, contact us through the Contact page with your order number so we can review the shipment and, when appropriate, start a carrier inquiry.
Damaged packages or missing contents
Photograph the outer package, label, packing materials, and item before discarding anything, then contact us promptly. Carrier claims may require those materials and photos.
Returns
Return eligibility and return-shipping responsibility are explained in our Refund and Returns Policy.
